Alice Neel

I’ve always been drawn to Jordan Casteel's work. One day, I was going down my normal YouTube art hole. I ran across an interview, where Jordan speaks of Alice Neel as one of her inspirations.

I interpret Neel’s work as radical for its time. In the video below I feel her classic sense of irreverence comes through strong.
